Silhill Crime Update

Good Evening,

Here is your WMnow update for what has been going on in the Silhill area since our last message and what the team has been up to.

Crime Update: 

There was an Attempted Residential Burglary on Redlands Road which happened at 0210hrs on 13/09/2026 whereby x2 offenders have tried to gain access to a property by snapping the lock barrel on the rear patio door. The offenders were disturbed by the occupants, a quick response by officer's lead to both males being located and arrested. 

There was an Attempted Residential Burglary on Elms Close which happened between 0030hrs - 0100hrs on 13/09/2026 whereby unknown offender/s have attempted to gain entry by damaging the lock on the rear door. No entry was gained to the property. 

There was a Robbery on Lode Lane which happened at 1600hrs on 16/09/2026 whereby a bicycle was stolen from the victim after threats were made, enquires are ongoing. 

Good News:

Officers have been proactively patrolling the area, targeting nominals who cause our community harm. Whilst on patrol, our officers sighted a male who is suspected to be drug dealing and involved in criminal activity. Following a foot chase involving jumping garden fences, one male was detained. A search of this male resulted in cannabis being found and was dealt with accordingly. Unfortunately, a second male managed to evade officers, however officers did manage to clearly capture his face on the body worn camera so enquires will continue to locate this male, I am sure we will be paying him a visit soon!

We will not tolerate drug-related offending and Anti-Social Behaviour on our patch.
